Batik kit for beginners

This kit is ideal for the beginner and anyone who wants to have a go at batik. To try batik on cotton, you will need something to melt your wax in (a small saucepan which you won't use for anything else), a frame (an old picture frame will do fine) and a paintbrush or sponge brush.

The kit includes

•  a medium spout long handled canting from Java,
•  300 grams batik wax mix,
•  3 x 10 gram procion dyes in 3 bright colours which can be used as they are or combined together to make a wide range of colours
•  a  wooden printing block suitable for wax, 
•  1 metre of fine smooth primissima cotton from Java, specially made for batik.
•  50 grams of soda ash,
•  instructions and tips, dye recipes, and a hand made batik card
