How do you wash a thai silk scarf?
Please handwash your silk items in cool water, using a delicate detergent. Soak, then agitate gently before rinsing in cold water. Press between towels to absorb the excess water, then lay flat to air dry.
Why are authentic thai silk scarves rough?
There are different varieties of silk cocoons: white silk cocoons, and yellow silk cocoons. The white silk cocoons are smoother in texture, and are found predominantly in Japan or China, whereas the yellow silk cocoons are native to Thailand and rougher in texture. This gives the silk a wonderful wabi-sabi, “slubby” texture.
Are lightweight scarves suitable for winter?
Our fine silk scarves really are suitable for all seasons. Keep your neck warm in the winter, tie your hair back with them in the summer, or even wet your scarf to keep cool during a heatwave.
