These hand carved wooden blocks are made in a small workshop in Rajasthan in northern India.
They are ideal for applying dye, paint or inks to fabrics, paper, walls, and more or less any surface you can think of. They can be used to press designs into unfired clay and you can even use them to apply hot wax to paper or fabric for batik. If you do use them for this, make sure you keep them just for wax.
