What is shot cotton fabric?

A shot fabric has a two tone effect where two different colours can be seen depending on how you move the fabric. This is achieved by weaving with threads of two different colours - one colour for the warp thread, and another for the weft.

Is shot cotton good for quilting?

Yes, it makes a beautiful addition to any quilt. The rich colours will give depth and vibrancy to any project, and as an added bonus there is no right or wrong side to the fabric.
