This beautiful indigo fabric is medium weight, a slightly thicker cotton fabric most suited to making structured clothing like jackets and trousers, or for upholstery. Please do make sure you wash thoroughly before use to avoid transferring the dark blue colour to other surfaces!

Indigo is a plant dye synonymous with Asian textiles, but it has a rich history across the whole word, with the oldest known example of indigo fabric dating to 6000 years ago in Peru.
